Barnes Auto Service was founded over four decades ago by Chuck Barnes Sr., a man with a passion for cars and a dedication to serving his neighbors. From humble beginnings in the family garage, Chuck Sr. built a reputation for quality, integrity, and a personal touch that made every customer feel like family.
As the business grew, so did the Barnes family’s involvement in motorsports, with Chuck Sr. establishing himself as a respected stock car racer.
His expertise on the track directly influenced his approach to running the shop, instilling a standard of precision, attention to detail, and performance that customers have come to trust.

Today, the racing legacy continues with Chuck Barnes Jr., a second-generation mechanic and accomplished racer in his own right. Growing up around cars and the family shop, Chuck Jr. inherited his father’s dedication to excellence and expanded it through his own experiences on the racetrack. An ARCA Menards Series winner and former mechanic for Richard Petty, Chuck Jr. brings the high-performance standards of racing into every aspect of the business.
By racing their own cars, the Barnes family has
gained unique insights into vehicle performance,
durability, and diagnostics.

work in the shop, where
solving complex mechanical mysteries has become a hallmark of their service. "Our racing
